ProgrammeIBA Lusatia 2010Finale programme to start on 24 April 2010As a "Workshop for New Landscapes" the IBA has accompanied the redevelopment process for 10 years, following the transformation from lignite mining district to Lusatian Lakeland and completing or launching 30 landmark projects.
"Raise the curtain!" is the cry which will go up on 24 April 2010 when the IBA invites the world to Lusatia. With the support and input of the people of Lusatia, there is a very special series of events in store under the umbrella of the "Paradise 2" art project. The Lusatians themselves will become the performers in seven artistic productions using the landscape as a stage. Right at the pit edge, on the IBA Terraces, the exhibition "The Reconquering of a Landscape" will present the IBA projects and the milestones along the way. A range of themed tours will also run from the planet "Mars" to imposing industrial giants and newly emerging lakes into the changing landscape - walking tours, minibus tours, cycle tours, jeep tours and raft tours.
